Fact : Beware, an electric eel can harm you pretty badly .

Posted on Updated on

Fact :
Do you know that an electric eel can produce a shock of up to 650 volts.
That much current is equal to 434 wall clock batteries if combined together for a second.
An Eel is not a snake, it actually belongs to fish family.

I was at a party and there was an electric eel in a tank and the guys were telling me “put your hand in the tank -and grab it.” I did and it was the worst electrical shock of my life. It hurt like hell and my arm was numb for the rest of the night!

I had heard many cases in which people died of shocks by eels. Hats off to your bravery 😅. Strictly suggesting don’t try it again it could be more dangerous.👍

Watched that on NatGeo. One eel made 750 volts. Most of the fish operates as a battery.
